This weekend’s ShrinersFest include a D-Day re-enactment, air shows, and even boat races.
The last time hydroplanes raced in Evansville was in 2009, the last year of Thunder on the Ohio. Thunder was part of the city’s annual Freedom Festival, which has since become ShinersFest.
The planned two-boat exhibition will feature practice on Friday, and races on Saturday.
ShrinersFest is free until Saturday and Sunday, when $5 buttons are required for admission. Buttons are also required any night for beer stubes.
On Saturday and Sunday, the buttons will provide access to a D-Day Re-enactment, air shows, and the boat races.
