ETFCU to move in to old EVSC building

Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union will be the flagship tenant of the former school corporation administration building.

The building behind the Civic Center is being redeveloped by attorney Scott Danks and other investors, and they’ve already announced plans for a restaurant there. Now, Danks tells the Courier and Press that the building will be known as Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union Plaza, and the credit union will install a drive-through window.

Offices and a fitness center are also planned for the two-story building. Planned renovations also call for an atrium, a courtyard and landscaping. Danks hopes to get the project moving in the next few months.

The school corporation moved its administrative offices to a new building on Walnut Street in 2011.
