Old Courthouse renovation to continue

Vanderburgh County Commissioners have approved plans to continue an interior renovation of the Old Courthouse.

The county renovated the first floor of the historic downtown courthouse last year. Commission President Joe Kiefer tells the Evansville Courier and Press this year, the fix-up will move to the second floor.

Kiefer says the project will cost $21,000 and will be paid for by the Old Courthouse Foundation. He calls it an “inexpensive way to drastically improve the appearance of the Old Courthouse's interior.”
