Control of Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari will remain with its vice president, Lori Koch (cook).
The Indiana Supreme Court has declined to hear a legal dispute involving Koch’s brother-in-law, Dan Koch.
In October, the Indiana Court of Appeals issued a 3-0 ruling saying that Lori Koch could retain her majority shares of Koch Development Co., which owns and operates the theme park in Spencer County.
The Evansville Courier and Press reports that the appeals court ruling affirmed a ruling by Vanderburgh Circuit Judge Carl Heldt. He ruled that Lori Koch did not have to sell shares formerly owned by her late husband and Holiday World President Will Koch to his brother, Dan.
Dan Koch owns 40 percent of the company, and had appealed Heldt's ruling. He claimed there was a purchase agreement that required Lori Koch to sell her stock after her husband's death.
