NWS Revises Evansville Forecast

Evansville’s weather forecast has been revised to now receiving ice both this afternoon and tonight according to the National Weather Service

According to the Courier and Press the weather service says it expects the system to move into the Evansville area after 2pm. It is a warning that accumulation of one tenth to three tenths of an inch of ice is possible this afternoon.

Snow fall totals were predicted to be 5 inches, has now been forecasted to be less than an inch. Freezing rain is expected to stay in the area tonight and could add another three-tenths of an inch of ice to what will already fall this afternoon.

This could make travel more hazardous than what would have occurred if it would’ve been mostly snow. Links to the information you need as the winter storm approaches the Tri-State can be found at courierpress.com and a link to access it is also on our twitter @WNINnews
