The state has released the final draft of Indiana’s new education standards.
The Indiana Department of Education posted the proposed guidelines online for what students should learn in each grade.
An education panel, including Gov. Pence, education officials, business leaders, and teachers is set to vote Monday on whether to endorse the new math and English benchmarks.
Velinda Stubbs of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation says the biggest change will likely be in high school math.
The State Board of Education has until July to meet a 2013 legislative mandate to replace the national Common Core standards.
The final draft standards can be seen at the Department of Education’s website, doe.in.gov., although the public comment period is over.
