Tin Man is boldly brewing where no one has brewed before.
The Evansville-based brewer with a restaurant on W. Franklin St. is making what’s being described as the first Star Trek-themed beer to hit the U.S.
Tin Man Director of Marketing and Owner Sara Davidson tells Inside Indiana Business that the local brewer was contracted by the “Federation of Beer” to develop and brew Warnog.
Trekkies might recognize the brew as what Klingons enjoyed in the original TV series.
CBS Studios, which owns the rights to the science fiction brand, says the beer will be available later this year.
CBS says the beer's flavor draws from blending rye malt with a traditional clove character, creating what it calls "a bold beer suited for the harsh Klingon lifestyle."
