UE Grads airing new TV show

Three University of Evansville graduates are behind a new television program.

UE Theatre Department graduates Matt Williams and David McFadzean created the series “St. George,” and will serve as executive producers, along with UE Communications Department grad Dete Meserve.

The comedy stars George Lopez and is premiering this week on the FX network.

Williams is an Evansville native and a 1973 UE graduate who created the “Roseanne” series, co-created “Home Improvement,” and wrote and produced the “Cosby Show.” McFadzean, also a 1973 grad, worked with Williams on “Roseanne” and “Home Improvement.” Meserve graduated from UE in 1984 and began her career at WNIN, serving as manager of the radio station and an assistant manager of WNIN TV.
