Evansville Accepting Opioid Fund Requests

The city of Evansville is accepting applications for a share of opioid funds

The city of Evansville is accepting applications for a piece of the city's opioid settlement fund. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Mayor Stephanie Terry says the city will award 500-thousand dollars in opioid grant funding in 2027.

Applications must be submitted no later than midnight Dec. 31st.

Funding requests can be sent here
with the subject line “Opioid Settlement Fund Request.”

A committee will review the proposals and make recommendations to Terry.

The mayor will decide the recipients and present them to the city council for final approval.

The money is awarded to the city through nationwide legal settlements with opioid manufacturers and distributors.
