Holiday decorations are going up in Downtown Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Downtown Evansville Improvement District says the décor includes more than 30 trees wrapped in lights along Riverside Drive; custom painted nutcrackers, garland, and lights on the archway at Second and Main streets; and a spool of oversized light bulbs in the 100 block of Main.
The decorations also include a 12-foot tall snowflake and a chandelier tree on Main, as well as oversized light bulbs and greenery in the planters and tree wells along Fourth Street.
The decorations are funded by property owners within the Downtown Improvement District.
The installation precedes a lineup of holiday events, including the Holiday Open House this Saturday, Small Business Saturday on November 28th, and A Downtown Christmas on Saturday, December 5th.
