A longtime Evansville bookstore has closed its doors, at least for now. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Book Broker on Covert Avenue has sold books, records, comic books and more since the 1970’s.
Owner Tom Stillabower's wife, Terry, posted on social media that her husband has been very ill.
She says he’s turned a small corner, but still can’t speak or hold a pen.
Stillabower says she’s tried to keep the business going but due to her husband’s health issues, and some legal and financial problems, the store had to close for now.
Her post did say “who knows what the future holds?”
Stillabower thanked customers for their patronage and support.
