A longtime leader at the University of Evansville is retiring. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

UE says Mary Kessler is retiring as Acting Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.

She will continue to serve as a special assistant to the university president.

UE says Dr. Andy Lampkins, dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences, will serve as Interim Executive Vice President and Provost beginning Jan. 4th.

The university continues to search for a permanent chief academic officer.

UE President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz notes Kessler has given 36 years of her career to the university.

He says she has helped build academic programs, supported faculty, mentored colleagues, and helped guide UE through “important periods of change.”
