Officials say the new library will measure 22-thousand square feet -- more than 50-percent larger than the prior building’s 14-thousand.
It will also include multiple meeting and study rooms, dedicated programming spaces, and capacity for nearly 80,000 items.

The library is currently operating in a temporary site next door to the construction site off Red Bank Road.
