An inspection is planned next week before crews make more repairs on the southbound Twin Bridge. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning a one-day inspection of the southbound bridge on Monday, during off-peak hours.
Officials say crews will block one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so inspectors can access the bridge's substructure.
They’ll see if additional work is needed before upcoming repairs.
Crews made a temporary fix to the bridge’s rocker bearings in late August so the roadway could reopen.
Permanent repairs are scheduled for later this year.
Officials say that work will begin when needed materials become available.
