Officials have cut a ribbon on a new health care facility that Deaconess says is the first of its kind in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Officials celebrated the combined Deaconess Emergency & Urgent Care near Lynch and North Green River roads on Tuesday.
The health system says the 19-thousand square foot center will offer 24/7 emergency and urgent care, with an on-site lab, X-ray, ultrasound, and a CT scanner.
Despite the ribbon cutting, the center has not yet opened. Officials say it will open “soon.”
Deaconess is partnering with Dallas-based Intuitive Health, which officials say pioneered the combined ER and Urgent Care model in 2008.
The new facility is part of a three-story, roughly 60,000-square-foot development that will also include medical offices, imaging, and an outpatient lab.
It sits next to Deaconess Clinic Lynch, which will remain open as a primary care clinic.
