The City of Evansville is asking for your help keeping storm drains open. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The city has launched Adopt a Drain.
It's a program to help reduce flooding and keep leaves, litter and other debris out of the storm water system.
The program invites residents to take an active role in maintaining storm drains in their neighborhoods and workplaces.
Mayor Stephanie Terry says anyone can help by adopting a drain and keeping it clear of leaves and trash.
She says it allows storm water to flow freely while helping reduce pollution and protect local waterways.
