The city of Evansville is once again seeking young leaders. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry says applications are open for the 2026–27 Mayorʼs Youth Advisory Council.
The city is seeking students in grades eight–through-12 who are interested in civic engagement, community service, and making an impact in the community.
The MYAC brings together a representative group of young people from across Evansville to share perspectives and provide the Mayor insight on issues important the local youth.
Throughout a ten-month term, members of MYAC work on youth-focused solutions, participate in service-learning projects, and engage directly with community leaders.
The Council meets monthly, with additional meetings as needed.
Interested students can access the application at evansvillegov.org/MYAC.
