Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at a trash transfer facility in northeastern Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Crews responded to Waste Management’s Evansville Transfer Station at 12-thousand-800 Warrick County Line Road at about 8:20 Friday morning.
They found trash burning inside the facility and workers evacuating the building.
Firefighters battled the flames, requested assistance from a number of departments, and put out the fire.
They were on scene for more than two hours.
There was no word of any injuries.
There was also no word on how the fire started.
