A more than $1 million upgrade is planned for the 10-story Grandview Tower senior living complex

The city of Evansville has announced a million-dollar renovation for a senior housing complex. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The city calls the planned rehabilitation and preservation of Grandview Tower a “landmark investment.”

The Mainstreet Group, in partnership with Sena Affordable Communities, has assumed ownership of the 47-year-old facility at one-thousand Fulton Parkway, off Diamond Avenue.

The city says the project will be financed through a combination of public and private resources, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bonds.

Officials say the rehabilitation will include substantial upgrades to apartment interiors, new and refreshed amenities, and major building and site improvements.

The ten-story complex contains 170 senior apartments.
