An Evansville City Councilor is stepping down at the end of the year. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Third Ward Councilman Zac Heronemus says he and his family are moving to St. Charles, Missouri, where his wife Megan has accepted a job as the executive director of Discover St. Charles.
That’s the city and county’s convention and tourism bureau.
Heronemus will also step down as CEO of the Tri-State Food Bank.
He says a piece of the family’s heart will always be with Evansville, a community that he says “shaped their lives and careers” and challenged them to grow as leaders.
Local Democrats will have to caucus to choose Heronemus’s successor on the city council and the Food Bank will seek a new leader.
