Two Evansville museums have been awarded more than one-point-eight million dollars in READI funds. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Indiana’s READI-point-two initiative will send about one-and-a-half million to the Children’s Museum of Evansville.
cMoe applied for and received funding to expand programming and create new place-making experiences, including interactive sidewalk murals, outdoor music experiences, and a rooftop cultural space.
Meanwhile, the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science will receive 310-thousand dollars to transform its riverfront lawn into a public sculpture garden.
The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership — or E-Rep — says the project will create “an engaging outdoor arts destination.”
The Regional Acceleration and Development Initiative – or READI – funded 49 projects statewide.
