The Warrick County Area Plan Commission holds a public hearing Monday evening on requirements for potential data centers

A public hearing is set for Monday evening on the future of data centers in Warrick County. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:

County officials have emphasized there are no current plans for data centers but a developer had planned to make a presentation last year.

The presentation was canceled.

Monday evening, the Warrick Area Plan Commission will hold a hearing to discuss a draft ordinance on any future data center projects.

Commission President Jeff Valiant has said adopting the ordinance would not grant automatic approval for future proposals.

He says it establish standards a project must meet including size, noise, appearance, and infrastructure impact.

The hearing is set for 6 p.m. Monday at the Boonville Courthouse.
