A UE student will showcase her artistic talents during this week’s Lunch with the Mayors. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The University of Evansville says incoming art student Chloe Mayes will create a live painting during Thursday’s luncheon at Old National Events Plaza.
UE says each mayor will share a landmark, symbol, location, or feature that best represents their community.
As the discussion unfolds, Mayes will combine those elements into a single original work celebrating the character, connection, and shared story of the region.
The completed painting will be unveiled at the conclusion of the luncheon.
Framed prints of the artwork will be presented to each participating mayor as a commemorative gift.
Thursday’s luncheon is sponsored by E-REP and will feature the mayors of Evansville, Henderson, Mt. Vernon, and Princeton.
The mayors will discuss the importance of collaboration, happenings in their communities, reflections on the past year, and how they plan to continue to work together to cultivate a stronger region.
