A tornado outbreak caused damage in Gibson and Warrick counties Sunday night; no injuries were reported

Residents are cleaning up after an apparent tornado outbreak in the Tri-State last (Sun) night. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The National Weather Service issued one Tornado Warning after another for several hours with damage but no injuries reported in Warrick and Gibson counties.

Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says up to a dozen homes and businesses were hit in his county:

"Definitely south of Owensville, from 65 east and then a smattering of places on the East Side."

Vanoven also said sirens in Owensville and on the east side of Princeton did not activate when a Tornado Warning was issued. He said new sirens previously approved by the county have arrived:

"They'll be installed shortly. It's going to take out a lot human error because they will be set off remotely by the Weather Service in Paducah."

The storm destroyed Blyth Chapel in Owensville.
