A special meeting is set for next week to discuss ambulance service in Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
County Commissioners have called the special meeting to receive proposals for emergency medical services and public input.
It comes just over a month before the City of Evansville ends its contract with AMR and puts the fire department in charge of EMS.
AMR’s contract with Vanderburgh County expires at the end of this year.
The special meeting will follow the regular county commissioners and drainage board meetings, which begin at 9:30 a.m. next Tuesday, May 26th.
The special meeting is expected to start at 10:30.
The meetings will take place in Room 301 of the Civic Center.
The deadline for EMS contract proposals is this Thursday at 4 p.m.
