CenterPoint Energy is launching a new weekly in-person customer service and payment option. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The utility company says its Customer Connect pilot program will be offered at CenterPoint Energy Plaza on the Evansville riverfront.
Customers can pay in person on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
CenterPoint says customers can also sit down with a service representative for personalized assistance, answers to questions, and help resolving any account issues.
The Customer Connect pilot is part of the company’s expanding Community Connect program.
CenterPoint Energy Indiana President Mike Roeder says the company remains committed to “transparency and developing new ways to help customers, based on their feedback.”
The next Customer Connect is Wednesday, May 20.
Customers can pay by checking or savings account, credit card, debit card or Apple Pay. Cash is not accepted.
CenterPoint says it will evaluate the new program over the next several weeks.
Customers have been dealing with surging energy bills in recent years.
