City to Offer $15,000 to Mobile Home Residents

The Evansville City Council voted to provide residents of a blighted mobile home park up to $1,000 each

The city of Evansville will offer financial assistance to residents of a neglected mobile home park. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The City Council voted Monday night to provide up to 15-thousand dollars to help residents pay to move out 0f the park off Oak Hill Road, near Oak Hill Cemetery.

The money will come from interest earned on American Rescue Plan funds.

Residents of the park can each receive up to one-thousand dollars by the end of this year.

The non-profit HOPE of Evansville will distribute the money and return any funds not used.

The mobile home park has been the scene of fire-damaged trailers, piles of trash and debris, and residents living without running water.
