Owensboro Police say Tina Brooks, 34, died after the van she was driving ran off J.R. Miller Blvd and crashed into a utility pole and a tree

A woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Owensboro. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

It happened just before 8:00 Saturday night in the 2800 block of J.R. Miller Boulevard.

Owensboro Police say a van driven by 34-year-old Tina Brooks left the roadway and hit a utility pole and a tree.

Brooks was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The crash caused the tree to fall, blocking J.R. Miller for several hours.

Police continue to investigate.
