One person was taken to the hospital and a home was destroyed after a fire in Posey County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Black Township and Mount Vernon crews were dispatched to the blaze in the 5100 block of Upton Road Tuesday night.
The Black Township department says firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the rear of the structure.

The department says windy conditions and the house’s 19th century construction allowed the fire spread rapidly.
One person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Crews extinguished the fire and were on scene for several hours for salvage and overhaul operations.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
