Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry has chosen Brian Mundy as the new city engineer, replacing Mike Labitzke

Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry has appointed a new city engineer. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The mayor’s office says Brian Mundy will start the job Monday.

He replaces Mike Labitzke, who took a position in Bloomington.

Mundy will oversee city engineering operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of capital improvement projects.

He will also provide engineering review and oversight for projects led by other agencies that affect the city.

The mayor’s office says Mundy earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and brings more than 30 years of experience to the job.

He has served as County Engineer for Spencer County, Assistant County Engineer for Warrick County, and Project Manager for the Indiana Department of Transportation.

He later held engineering and leadership roles in the private sector, most recently as a Senior Project Manager at Lochmueller Group.
