After winning recognition for its 2026 budget, the City of Evansville will conduct a forum at EVPL McCollough

If you want to learn more about Evansville’s current city budget, you may want to mark April 2nd on your calendar. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:

A forum that evening at McCullough Library will be a celebration of sorts, after the city received the Distinguished Budget

Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.

The award recognizes budget documents that effectively function as a financial plan, an operational guide, a policy document, and a communications tool.

In a statement, Mayor Stephanie Terry said “transparency and responsible financial management are critical to the City’s success, and this recognition reflects that commitment.”

To continue that commitment to transparency, the City says it will host a Community Budget Forum on April 2nd from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at McCollough Library, 5115 Washington Ave.
