A house fire injured a resident and two pets in Newburgh Thursday night. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Ohio Township Fire Department was dispatched to the 7000 block of Shamrock Circle at about 6:20 p.m.
They found smoke and fire coming from the 1st floor of a home and were told a family member was still inside the house.
The fire department says crews quickly removed the victim from the burning home and an ambulance took them to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
There was no word on the name of the injured.
Two pets were also reportedly hurt in the fire.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 20 minute.
The Ohio Township Department, Warrick County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire.
No word yet on the cause.
