Volunteer firefighters battled a barn fire in Posey County Tuesday afternoon. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Marrs Township crews were dispatched to the blaze in the ten-thousand-800 block of Hebmar Drive, off St. Philips Road, just after 1:00 p.m.
Reports from the scene indicated multiple propane tanks were exploding inside the barn.
Perry Township, Black Township, and Wadesville firefighters were also called to assist.
The Posey County Sheriff’s Office was requested to help control traffic on St. Philip’s Road.
Firefighters also asked for CenterPoint Energy to cut utilities.
There was no word of any injuries.
The cause of the barn fire is under investigation.
