Officials say the reconstruction projects along Evansville’s Lloyd Expressway are on schedule. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Indiana Department of Transportation says despite the winter weather, the current Lloyd4U projects are on time, with most segments nearly halfway complete or more.
Completed projects include the changes to the East Lloyd intersections of Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road.
INDOT says the work at Burkhardt Road and Crosspoint Boulevard is 42-to-44 percent complete.
Most of the projects on the West Lloyd are said to be 45-percent complete.
All the current projects are expected to wrap up this year.
Pavement replacement on the West Lloyd from Ingle to Wabash Avenue will begin next year, along with improvements to the intersections at St. Joe and Wabash.
Those improvements are expected to be completed in 2029. INDOT officials say they appreciate all drivers have done, from adapting to lane closures, short stoppages, and lower speed limits, to navigating crossovers.
