It’s been more than a week since a winter storm hit the Tri-State, but some school systems in the area remained closed. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation conducted another day of virtual learning on Monday.
The EVSC says it appreciates improvements made by city and county road crews and homeowners who have cleaned sidewalks in front of their houses.
But the district noted there were still many areas on side streets that were not safe for buses or students walking to bus stops or school.
Meanwhile, Evansville Catholic, Evansville Christian, and Signature School were among many school systems that operated on a two-hour delay on Monday.

Forecasters are calling for a mix of rain and snow Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says the most favorable areas to receive light snow accumulations are the Evansville area and the Wabash Valley.
Forecasters say any accumulations should be less than an inch.
