Evansville residents can drop off household trash in temporary dumpsters if Republic trucks can't reach their home

Temporary dumpsters have been set-up for Evansville residents whose trash can’t be picked up due to the snowy conditions. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Republic Services has resumed residential trash collection after it was paused last week.

But the company says some alleys and streets may still be too difficult for trucks to access.

So, dumpsters are available at five locations at no cost where residential customers can drop off household trash.

The temporary dumpster locations are the Old Roberts Stadium Parking Lot, Memorial Baptist Church, Republic Services on Fares Avenue, the old Wal-Mart Parking Lot off the West Lloyd, and on the back lot of Young & Established off Vann Avenue.

The city says Republic will maintain and empty them as needed for one week.
