Conservation Officers rescued five people from their boat on the icy White River. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The Department of Natural Resources says officers responded to a call for help on Saturday and rescued five hunters from a boat near Haysville using an airboat.

The DNR says at the time, the temperature was 12 degrees, snow was falling, and the river was nearly frozen from bank to bank.

Officers reached the hunters and brought them safely to shore.

Other responding agencies included the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Dubois County EMS, Haysville Fire Department, and Luce Township Fire Department.
