The Evansville Fire Department will host 3 informational sessions for emergency workers on the city's new ambulance service

The city of Evansville is inviting emergency services personnel to learn more about the upcoming change in ambulance service. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Evansville Fire Department will host three sessions for emergency workers about the new ambulance service that starts July 1st.

That’s when the EFD will take over EMS operations after the city decided to end its longtime contract with AMR.

The first session is set for next Tuesday (Jan. 20) at 10 a.m.

The other two are scheduled for January 24th at 9 a.m. and January 29th at 6 p.m.
All the informational sessions will be held at the Fire Department’s Administration Building at 550 SE Eighth St.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP with Deputy Chief of EMS Michael Kane here.

The department says RSVPs are not required, and walk-ins are welcome.
