Visitor Restrictions Start Friday at Ascension St. Vincent

File

Ascension St. Vincent will implement visitor restrictions at its health facilities in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties due to increasing respiratory cases

Ascension St. Vincent is placing restrictions on visitors, starting Friday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The health system cites a significant increase in respiratory virus activity across Indiana.

Ascension St. Vincent’s facilities in Evansville and Warrick County will limit visitors to two at a time, allow no visitors under the age of 18 – unless they are the parent of a patient -- and no visitors will ber allowed with respiratory-like illness, fever or cough.

Exceptions can be made for critically or terminally ill patients or patients who need additional support.

The goal of the restrictions is to help limit the spread of viruses and ensure the facilities are best equipped to provide exceptional care.
