The Evansville Otters have announced the hiring of a new general manager. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Trevor Lakins has been named the ninth General Manager in Otters history.
Lakins is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and joins the Otters after spending nearly a decade in baseball front offices across the country.
He spent the 2025 season as Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders, the Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees.
Otters President John Stanley touts Lakins’ experience in baseball management, his love of the game, and his overall enthusiasm.
Team owner Bill Bussing also touted Lakins’ “wealth of experience.”
The Otters open the 2026 season May 7th at Bosse Field.
