A man is dead after being hit by a train in Mt. Carmel. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Wabash County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim 35-year-old Nicholas Lamar of Mount Carmel.
Authorities say Lamar was killed at the railroad crossing near 3rd and Poplar streets Saturday afternoon.
The incident and investigation closed River Bridge in Mount Carmel for several hours.
Police continue to investigate.
