Fire Chases Residents from Warrick Co. Home

Firefighters extinguished the house fire in Warrick County, IN, in sub-freezing temperatures and single-digit wind chills

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze in Warrick County. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Crews were dispatched to a home in the 6200 block of Lincoln Trail Road, north of Tennyson, just after 8:00 Monday morning.

They found smoke and flames coming from a single-story home.

Reports indicate the occupants got out safely and there was no word of any firefighter injuries.

Crews battled high winds and sub-freezing temperatures while putting out the fire.

CenterPoint Energy was called to the home to cut utilities and the Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents.

There was no word on how the fire started.

Departments that responded included the Skelton-Owen Fire Territory and the Boonville Fire Department.
