Brescia University in Owensboro, KY will add townhomes for grad students thanks to a $1.8 million donation

A one-point-eight million dollar donation will allow Brescia University in Owensboro to add student housing. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Brescia has acquired seven brownstone homes, just a short walk from its campus, thanks to the gift from Steve and Sandy Hayden of Owensboro.

The university says the homes will better meet the needs and ease the transition of graduate students at Brescia.

The new housing will be available in the fall of 2026 for graduate students as well as incoming juniors and seniors committed to continuing their education at Brescia after graduation.

The new homes will be known as Hayden Commons at Brescia University at the corner of Locust and 5th Streets in downtown
Owensboro.

Four units are scheduled to open in fall 2026, with additional units completed as demand grows.
