Holidays Will Change Trash Pickup For Some Evansville Residents

EWSU

Republic Services will not pick up trash or recyclables on Christmas or New Year's in Evansville

The holidays will change the trash and recycling schedule in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Republic Services will not operate on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility says trash and recycling pickups scheduled on Thursday and Friday will be delayed one day both weeks.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday trash and recycling pickups will operate as usual.

After Christmas, the utility says disposing of your Christmas tree will be simple.

Starting December 29th, city residential customers can place their Christmas trees next to their trash cart on regular pickup days and Republic Services will take care of everything.

The disposal service will continue through January 9th.

After the 9th, Republic Services will still dispose of your Christmas tree, but it must be placed inside your trash cart.
