A man is dead after apparently taking his own life on I-69 in western Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Madisonville Police say they received a report of a reckless driver on the highway Wednesday afternoon.
Police say they spotted a pickup truck driving recklessly and tried to make the vehicle stop.
Police say the driver didn’t immediately stop but eventually pulled onto the shoulder south of exit 114.
While police waited for more officers to arrive, they heard two shots from the vehicle.
They deployed a drone and determined the driver had taken his own life.
There’s no word yet on the man’s name.
No officers were injured.
Traffic on I-69 was blocked for hours.
