A popular attraction on Evansville’s riverfront is getting a new surface. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Sunset Skatepark is closed through Friday as crews resurface the facility.
It’s expected to reopen Saturday.
The Department of Parks and Recreation says skate parks require resurfacing every two years to stay in “quality condition.”
Officials note that mean it’s been two years since the riverfront skate park opened.
Skateboarders are frequently seen zipping around the facility performing flips, grinds, and aerials.
