Time To "Fall Back" This Weekend

File

Standard Time returns early Sunday morning

The Tri-State receives a bonus hour this weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:

Most of the U.S. – including the Evansville area -- returns to Standard Time early Sunday morning.

Many modern clocks make the change automatically but for those that need to be changed manually, you’re urged to set them back one hour before turning in Saturday night to be on time Sunday morning.

The extra hour can mean different things to different people.

Some folks may enjoy an extra hour of sleep or they may get more done around the house.

Some may see it as an extra hour to enjoy Halloween candy.

But third shift workers who are on the job Saturday night may face an extra hour of work.

The extra hour will be taken back in March, when we return to Daylight Saving Time.
