Henderson County, KY authorities say a father and son from Florida died in this week's car-train collision

Authorities say a father and son from Florida died in this week’s collision of vehicle and a freight train in Henderson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says the victims have been identified as 60-year-old Basten Johnson and 35-year-old Basi Johnson of Orlando, Florida.

The vehicle they were riding in was hit by a northbound train near the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Robards-Busby Station Road Tuesday morning.

The crossing has only a yield sign – no lights or gates.

The vehicle was pushed about 2,000 feet before the train could stop.

Authorities say the two were on their way to Moss Industries.
