The West Side Nut Club is addressing concerns about its record-setting half pot drawing. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Club officials say they understand that with a jackpot as large as two-point-six million dollars and so many people involved, questions about fairness are bound to come up.
The Nut Club emphasizes it operates under the close supervision of the Indiana Gaming Commission and every step is reviewed to ensure full legal compliance.
Officials say many of the state legislators who helped pass gaming laws worked directly with the Nut Club and even attended the Fall Festival to see it all in action.
The club also notes any misconduct would damage the club and harm the many charities and organizations that rely on the Fall Festival for fundraising.
Officials say they’re confident of the club’s transparency and compliance -- and invite anyone with concerns to reach out to the Indiana Gaming Commission here.
There was no word on who won this year’s half pot as of Tuesday afternoon.
