A car-train collision in Henderson County, KY claimed 2 lives Tuesday morning

A father and son are dead after a freight train hit a vehicle in Henderson County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The tragedy happened at about 6:40 Tuesday morning at a crossing near the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Robards-Busby Station Road.

Crews responded to the scene and the occupants of the vehicle were declared deceased.

There’s no word on their names as of Tuesday morning, but the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says they were a father and son.

There were no injuries reported on the northbound train.

The crash and investigation blocked traffic in that area.
